38 weeks and 5 days
Nei La is still resting peacefully in Christine’s tummy. She seems to want to just wait it out as long as she can. We are getting very excited to meet her but she seems to think it is safer to stay tucked away. Christine is feeling more and more ready to be done with Pregnancy. She is still getting around pretty good, but is definitely slowing down. Her sleep is off and on now. Some good nights of rest and some not so good. She is still working full time and trying to stick it out as long as she can. Our next appointment is on Thursday with Dr. Barbieri.
We are taking Friday off this week to start preparing our apartment for Nei La. Our Crib, stroller, Rocker Chair, Ottoman, and Pack N Play are being delivered on Saturday. The couch that we ordered is not expected to arrive for another two weeks which is a bummer. It would be nice to organize everything at once!
Our roommate Sara is moving to her Sisters this weekend and will be staying their for the final two weeks of her internship. Sara is done on July 1, 2006 and will be heading back to Minneapolis with Celia. We will definitely miss them both. Sara has been a wonderful roommate and such a great support to both of us over the past year. We are very blessed to have shared our New York experience with such a great friend. Sadie will also be very devastated to no longer have Celia around to romp and play.
We are planning to rearrange our two rooms with Christine and I moving into Sara’s room and the baby going in our room. That is what we will be working on this Friday.
Camera News
I have been doing a lot of research over the last few days on purchasing a new Digital Camera. Our Sony Cybershot developed a water mark that is now showing up in all of our pictures. It causes a blurring on the upper right of each picture. This is unacceptable! So…I used dpreview.com, Steves-digicam.com and a few other sites to research cameras. I was torn between an Ultra compact or a larger nicer mega zoom camera. I ended up purchasing the Canon Powershot S2 IS which is located here :
http://www.steves-digicams.com/2005_reviews/s2is.html It cost $324 including tax and shipping. The two other cameras that I considered that were very comparable in feature and cost were the Kodak Easyshare P850 and the Sony Cybershot H2.
For UltraCompact the Canon Powershot SD series of cameras are loaded with features. If I chose to go with the UltraCompact I would have purchased the Canon Powershot SD600 or Sony SD700. A review on the Powershot SD600 is located here
http://www.steves-digicams.com/2006_reviews/sd600.html Oh, and if anyone was wondering why they have not received an invite to our Photos on Yahoo, it is because I haven’t finished uploading and arranging them yet. I’ll start inviting people ASAP!
I think that is it for now. Take Care everyone.
