Lauren is getting bigger every day! Grandma Carol bought Lauren an exer-saucer. She loves to stand on her own and play with her toys. She is now holding objects with both hands, gurgling & cooing, and rolling over both ways. She prefers to be IN MOTION!! She especially likes books (as long as she can get them in her mouth)... Playing is hard work!!!

I'm gonna be a monkey (Busch Gardens, Tampa)...

A dedication to Lauren's FAVORITE song!! A Ren & Stimpy favorite... (A Seck/ Dutcher's, Evan following). They swing by their tales with the greatest of ease. Those hairy mammals we call monkeys. They have so much fun. Just living in trees. Oh, how I'd love to be one of these...

Lauren's first Halloween

Lauren and I went to a Halloween parade in Carroll Gardens (a section of Brooklyn). Neal had an assignment in Tampa this week, so we missed his company. It was a warm autumn day, so Lauren was not able to wear her complete bunny costume ~ just the ears and feet.

She has to taste EVERYTHING these days...yum.

Brooklyn was very festive! Lauren, Sadie, and I enjoyed strolling the streets and checking out the locale displays. Posted by Picasa

Christine does not start work until the beginning of December, so Lauren, Sadie, & I will be joining Neal in Tampa for the next three weeks. We are looking forward to the warm weather, beaches, and seeing Grandma Carol & Grandpa Mark! We are especially looking forward to Lauren's first swim. Auntie Diana gave Lauren a swimsuit...so she is ready for sunny Florida!

Family week

During our stint to the midwest in October, we were also able to spend a week with the Navrats in South Dakota. It was great seeing everyone. Lauren was able to meet all of her Navrat cousins' for the first time! We relaxed at Pappy & Gradma Sue's resort on the river.

Graduation!!!

WOW!!! I finally did it!! I now have a doctorate degree in clinical psychology! Graduation weekend was amazing. Neal, Lauren, Sadie, and I traveled to Minnesota for the big event on October 14th. I finished my internship the day prior, and I am looking forward to starting my clinical neuropsychology fellowship at Mount Sinai School of Medicine on December 3rd. The plan is to work there a minimum of two years (the first year as a fellow until I am licensed, and the second year as a faculty staff psychologist).
Graduation weekend went by very quickly, but we had the opportunity to see many of our close friends and family.

Thank you again to everyone who made the effort to be there. Your presence meant the world to me. I am very very thankful to have such supportive, loving, and patient people in my life! It has definitely been a lomg haul...and i could not have made the journey alone. Yay, I am a doctor!!
