EPPP

We just received confirmation last evening, that the date of my (Christine's) examination is set for August 30th at 8:00 am. This is a very very big deal, i.e. I will FINALLY be able to get a real job and will no longer be considered a student (amazing...after how many years?). All states and provinces require a passing score on the written exam (the Examination for Professional Practice in Psychology, or EPPP) in order to be considered a licensed psychologist. Neal & Lauren (and our entire family & friends) have been extremely supportive during this extensive process. I know it hasn't been easy, but we are almost done! I do apologize in advance to everyone if I am overly preoccupied, crabby, or just 'not fun to be around' during the next 8 weeks... Warmly, Christine

Lauren loves her new birthday toys. The above writing pad is from Uncle Ryan, Aunt Michelle, and cousins' Dakota & Keegan. Btw, they also gave her a cool yellow cell phone, which she loves!!

Lauren is wearing her new dress from Grandma Carol. She attended a birthday party of one of her friends today, so it was perfect. The weather in NY has been pretty balmy; it is definitely the season for sundresses.

I think she is playing with Sadie in this picture. Her first word potentials are 'sadie, bye-bye, momma, daddy, or ball.'

Lauren wore her blueberry dress for the party. We thought it was appropriate since one of her MOST favorite foods is now blueberries. Wait until she visits Maine!

Lauren's three best friends came by to help celebrate. Emma, Haley, & Isabelle are all within three weeks of age. They get along so well together, it is fun watching them play and explore.

It is hard to tell from the pictures, but neal was also covered in cake. It was everywhere!!

Gladwyn gave Lauren a new look. A pixie cut! Gladwyn offered to trim her hair, but we were a bit suprised at the final length. Oh well, it's a summer cut...right?

Hmm...good thing it will grow :) Lauren and her daddy had fun relaxing together this morning.

Lauren's first birthday is coming up real soon! On June 19th, she will be ONE!!!!

Lauren loves the slides, she was a little nervous at first...but now she has no fear.

In fact, she often goes head first (but only when she is overly excited!)

Lauren attended a birthday party today for her friend Isabelle. They all had a great time. No mommies or daddies allowed, so it was definitely a 'real party.'
