New stuff

The Navrats dropped off the face of the earth this past week...everyone was hit HARD with the stomach flu.  Christine got it the worst, quickly followed by Neal and Lauren.  Thankfully Sammy stayed healthy (knock on wood), but we were definitely out of commission for a good several days.  Above is LMN in the tub...feeling much better, but still a bit pale.

Neal and Sam enjoying a quiet moment.  Trust me, Sammy really doesn't sleep ALL the time.  He is a snuggler...

One month-old

Samuel turned one month on Friday.  He is now 8 pounds and one ounce (21 inches).  We have noticed that he is much more vocal than LMN was...making cooing and gurgling sounds whenever we are near him.
Sammy (as Lauren calls him) has been a very very sweet and mellow baby.  He is up every two hours at night nursing, but he rarely cries.  Neal and I are definitely sleep deprived, but we each take shifts (with neal giving sam bottles the first half of the night).  Below:  Grandpa Dick giving Sam a bottle in our new kitchen.

Moving again...

Yep, thIs will be the FOURTH time in a year for the Navrats.  Mount Sinai housing offered us a deal...a three bedroom apartment only two buildings down from our current residence with ELEVATOR access!!!  So, the movers come tomorrow and we will be spending tomorrow night in our new digs.
Change change everywhere...the only thing that is constant.
It's all about the journey, not the destination...right?

2008

more recent photos..

Right before Samuel was born, Christine accidentally dropped the family laptop on the floor (oops, blame it on pregnancy clumsiness).  So, we recently purchased a mac...which is pretty cool, but also a big adjustment.  Please be patient with our delay in posting pics, we both need to take a class to figure this thing out!

Two weeks-old

The past two weeks have been a blur.  We have had many visitors (thank god!), and have enjoyed adjusting to a family of four.
Lauren has been a great big sister.
She loves helping Christine and Neal with the orchestration of Sammy's activities.  She is even getting up with him late at night!  Everyone's sleep has been a bit disrupted, but we are all fairing well.   Grandma Carol and Susie both paid us a visit.
